Amanda Brock: My Nephew’s Wisdom and Lessons from his Auntie

Friday 15 November 15:15-15:30

Session Overview

In this keynote, Amanda Brock shares how her path to becoming a Sustainability Advocate began with a conversation with her 8-year-old nephew, Ronan. Inspired by Sir David Attenborough, Ronan’s passion for the planet sparked Amanda’s awareness of the concerns of today’s youth. However, like many, Ronan was unaware of the envrionmental impact of his digital life. Through a mutual exchange of knowledge, Amanda educated him on the environmental effects of technology, while he deepened her understanding of sustainability. This intergenerational learning experience has accelerated Amanda’s work in driving sustainability through technology.
